They specialize in MEP (Academic, Healthcare, Lifescience) projects up to $60M - Most business comes from repeat clientsExcellent opportunity for growth, long tenured employeesFun Team Culture: Golf outings, family nights, food trucks/ice cream trucks, basketball hall of fame this year for employee appreciation day & more! *Apply online today and your resume will be considered within 48 hours of application*Job DescriptionThe Lead VDC Coordinator is responsible for:Preparing accurate, concise, and timely coordinated layout and fabrication drawings for Plumbing, HVAC and Process SystemsResearching contract drawings and RFI suggestionsProduction of coordination/shop/fabrication drawingsUsing clash detection software during coordination processAttending coordination meetings in a support capacityPlanning and executing drawings for complex piping systems including Mechanical Rooms, hanger drawings, pad locations, sleeves and insert drawings, final connections, isometrics, and anchorsCoordinating complete systems from underground to roof and understand how each system is to workSuccessfully working with other trades to coordinate/layout projectsDemonstrating the ability to review equipment submittals for the proper size, quantity and arrangement and use this information in the layout and coordination of the space and/or systemPreparing and maintaining drawing files, posting changes to both coordination and contract documents and initiating RFIs with supporting documentationMaintaining project communication with the construction teamPreparing accurate fabrication drawings piping and plumbing Systems and associated equipmentPreparing accurate and complete bills of material for both fabrication and coordination drawingsPreparing work in accordance with applicable plumbing, process or power piping codesAssisting Detailers and Detailer-In-TrainingMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
