Save JobEmail Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsTemporary position with potential to go permanent based on performance.Work in office Monday through Thursday, Fridays are remote.About Our ClientLegal | Corporate | Professional ServicesJob DescriptionProvide administrative support: Assist attorneys and paralegals with managing calendars, scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and maintaining electronic and physical files.Document preparation: Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including contracts, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.Legal research: Conduct thorough legal research using various resources to gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and legal opinions to support case preparation and legal analysis.Case management: Assist in managing case files, including organizing and maintaining documents, monitoring deadlines, and tracking case developments.Communication and correspondence: Prepare and respond to routine correspondence, maintain contact with clients, and communicate with external parties, such as opposing counsel, court personnel, and government agencies.Court filings and docket management: Prepare and file legal documents with courts, administrative agencies, and other relevant entities. Paralegal certification is a plus.Experience: Previous experience working as a legal assistant or in a similar legal support role is preferred. Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document preparation is highly desirable.Strong organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail: Exceptional accuracy in document preparation, data entry, and proofreading.Research skills: Proficient in conducting legal research using online databases, legal libraries, and other resources.Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with attorneys, clients, and external parties.Computer proficiency: Proficient in using legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).What's on OfferTemporary opportunity with potential to go permanent based on preference.
