This is a highly varied role for a Real Estate Associate with 1-5 years relevant real estate legal experience looking to progress from Big-Law or a Mid-Size firm to this In-House Legal Counsel role.Job DescriptionA varied role, as Legal Counsel you will:Working directly with the General Counsel and Managing Director collaboratively working closely with stakeholders including the Managing Director, Head of Closings, Head of Special Servicing and other contacts across this 400 employee business.Communicating closely with the Credit and Closing teams.Managing outside counsel on high volume daily loan closing, foreclosures, loan workout negotiations, title claims & loan-level litigation.Assessing the risk of loan closings, ensuring compliance with investor and other regulatory requirements.
