Manages various aspects of Summer Associate on boarding, such as data entry, coordinating background checks, collaborating with internal counsel on immigration, conflicts, and splits-related on boarding issues, and overseeing file organization and maintenance.

Job Description

  • Manages Summer Program logistics, ensuring effective communication and handling of IT setup, secretarial assignments, and seating arrangements.
  • Handles logistical details for Summer Associate weekends and participates in related events.
  • Acts as a liaison for Summer Associates.
  • Prepares and follows up on Associate offer letters.
  • Provides ongoing support for all orientation logistics.
  • Assists with Associate departure logistics, including conducting exit interviews.
  • Supports the Part-Time Legal Intern Program.
  • Guides temporary staff on processes and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties, including assistance during the recruiting season.

The Successful Applicant

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least two years of experience in legal recruitment, talent management, or a relevant service industry role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with excellent judgment.
  • Ability to interact with attorneys and staff at all levels, quickly gaining an understanding of the Firm, its culture, practices, and policies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and use Firm-specific recruiting applications.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to conduct online research and synthesize information.
