Job Description

The main responsibilities are:

  • Create and execute the Regional Supply Chain Procurement Strategy for assigned sub-categories for company's distribution in AMR in order to capture maximum value and synergies.
  • Collaborate with global and other regional procurement category managers and stakeholders in developing and implementing AMR category strategies and strategic sourcing efforts that support Company profitability and growth, thus resulting in a positive impact to overall the company's bottom line.
  • Lead contract & coach as required all negotiations and placement of contracts with value creation in mind for all supply chain regional needs and manage assigned category contracts.
  • Support Global (Marine, Air & Warehouse) category managers for AMR requirements (Contract renewal, negotiation, bidding, awarding, market intelligence, business collaboration/education, etc.)
  • Assess business requirements, qualify supply chain service providers, conduct competitive tenders, evaluate offers, award and negotiate contracts through efficient and effect category and contract management practices.

The Successful Applicant

The main qualifications are:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement or Category Management, specifically in Logistic Services of Chemicals
  • BA in Supply Chain Management (Procurement), Business Administration, Finance, Engineering (preferably Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical), Industrial Management or Economics or equivalent industry experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Logistics. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in supply chain procurement and related roles, with a preference for experience in directly managing barge, ocean, warehouse, and logistics service categories, including sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier management in the Americas.
  • Strong with Analytics, as well as being sensitive to trends
  • 7 Step Sourcing Strategy
  • Strong communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments
