Job Description



  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain operations.
    • Analyze and improve logistical processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.


  • Transportation Management:
    • Coordinate and manage transportation activities, including the selection of carriers, route planning, and scheduling.
    • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.


  • Warehousing and Inventory Management:
    • Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, storage, and order fulfillment.
    • Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize inventory levels.


  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and supervise logistics staff, providing training and development opportunities.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.


  • Vendor and Supplier Management:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.


  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Implement and maintain safety standards and protocols in logistics operations.


  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.
    • Prepare and present reports on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement.


  • Customer Service:
    • Work closely with customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
    • Address and resolve any logistical issues or customer complaints promptly.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred OR equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Preferred to have someone from the trucking/transportation industry
  • Must have experience leading and managing teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
