Job Description

Principal Responsibilities:



Construction Project Management of New Headquarter

  • Acts as the primary liaison between project team members (building contractor, architects, town of Bristol, etc.) and corporate facility management
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring that the selected building contractor executes project on time, within budget, and to the design and quality specified
  • Conducts project meetings and provide periodic progress updates to executive management





Warehouse

  • Manages warehouse team overseeing receiving, shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations
  • Responsible for delivering quality warehouse and logistics solutions that provide the best customer experience in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Manages planning/purchasing to ensure proper inventory management (stock control, inventory turns, reconciliation with SAP/ERP, last time buys, etc.)
  • Overseas claim management personnel to ensure proper customer technical support, claim analysis and resolution
  • Implements metrics to monitor performance and optimize processes as needed
  • Select carriers and third-party services and negotiate contracts and rates
  • Ensure trade compliance
  • Provides monthly reporting

Facility Management & Safety

  • Promotes a safety culture and ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and company policies, providing consistent application in all aspects of discipline
  • Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures and regulatory agency EHSS (environmental, health, safety and security) regulations.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure proper maintenance of the building's mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.
  • Collaborates with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs

The Successful Applicant

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain or a 4-year degree in related discipline
  • 5+ years' experience in warehouse management
  • 5+ years' experience in facility management
  • In depth working knowledge of international trade, logistics, transportation and customs compliance
  • Experience working with ERP/SAP, WMS systems and UPS WorldShip
  • Previous experience with management of large projects (e.g. construction) a plus
  • Working knowledge of OH&S (occupational health & safety) and EHSS (environmental, health, safety and security) regulations

  • Strong leadership qualities with a demonstrated track record of dealing successfully with cross-functional internal and external customers
  • Results oriented individual with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), project management software
