Save JobEmail Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsPlay a vital role in managing the import & export for a major manufacturerRole involving cross-functional collaboration with local and international teamsAbout Our ClientIndustrial ManufacturingJob DescriptionThe Logistics Specialist will:Review all aspects of the logistics operation for supply chain to include inbound and outbound by all modes of transport.Analyzes all cost associated with the logistics operation for supply chainThe Logistics Specialist is the primary liaison with the provider for evaluation of rate structures, carrier performance, warehouse requirements, carrier solicitation, transportation management systems, transportation needs and overall cost analysis.Handles consumable material necessary for aspects of logistics and material handling operationsReviews the functions of the Inventory Control Analyst, Logistics Analyst, Traffic Supervisor, and Floor Supervisor.The Logistics Specialist will work with IT in the re-engineering of the logistic cost in SAP.Fulfillment of Standard Operation Practices related to Logistic operations.Handles claims internal or external in regards to material handling or transportationThe liaison to external warehouse working with the Inventory Analyst to assure inventory accuracy, inventory turn-over, and external warehouse optimizationReviews the daily activity and monitors internal warehouse capacities and where applicable, develops alternate storage strategies to optimize storage capacity internallyThe Logistics Specialist works with the Inventory Analyst to ensure inventory accuracy physically and systematically.Supervises the inventory management system and develops and implements continuous improvements to maximize storage capacities.Works with Quality, Industrial, and Supply Chain to ensure inventory availability.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
