Maintenance Manager - Industrial Manufacturing - Kingston, RI

The Maintenance Manager will report directly into the Operations Manager and be responsible for:

• Lead and manage the maintenance department, including planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably, reducing unscheduled downtime.
• Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment to ensure optimal performance in a high-volume plastics manufacturing environment.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations (OSHA, local regulations), and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring the availability of spare parts, tools, and resources.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring high performance across the department.
• Work with the production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and automation initiatives that enhance production efficiency.
• Investigate equipment failures and breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, downtime reports, and equipment performance metrics.
