They are committed to excellence in production, efficiency, and safety and are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee our maintenance operations and support our mission of continuous improvement.Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Manager will report directly into the Operations Manager and be responsible for:Lead and manage the maintenance department, including planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all equipment, machinery, and facilities.Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably, reducing unscheduled downtime.Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment to ensure optimal performance in a high-volume plastics manufacturing environment.Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations (OSHA, local regulations), and promote a culture of safety within the team.Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring the availability of spare parts, tools, and resources.Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring high performance across the department.Work with the production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and automation initiatives that enhance production efficiency.Investigate equipment failures and breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, downtime reports, and equipment performance metrics.Apply today for immediate consideration! MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantDegree in Engineering or Maintenance Management preferred8-10 years of maintenance experience within industrial manufacturing3+ years of management or supervisory experienceSolid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsExperience with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and proficiency in data-driven maintenance practicesUnderstanding of automation and control systems in manufacturing processes is a plusStrong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
