Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Global Consolidation & Close Management



  • Lead the global monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial reporting is accurate.


  • Prepare and review complex consolidation journal entries, including intercompany eliminations, investment accounting, and foreign currency translation adjustments.


  • Oversee the calculation and reporting of Non-Controlling Interest (NCI) for all relevant entities, ensuring proper attribution of net income and comprehensive income to shareholders.


  • Manage periodic distributions to partners and interest holders in compliance with operating agreements and partnership structures.


  • Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions globally, collaborating with regional accounting teams to resolve complex discrepancies.



Financial Reporting & Analysis



  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Equity) for internal leadership and external stakeholders.


  • Generate comprehensive NCI reporting packages detailing interest balances, attributions, and roll-forwards for executive review.


  • Conduct variance analysis to interpret financial results against budgets and forecasts for executive reporting.


  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and documentation for consolidations, NCI calculations, and disclosures in compliance with internal controls.



Team Leadership & Process Improvement



  • Mentor and support Senior and Staff Accountants, fostering a culture of technical excellence and adaptability to new technologies.


  • Identify and implement process improvements to accelerate the close timeline, leveraging automation and AI solutions to reduce manual data entry and reconciliation effort.

The Successful Applicant



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree or MBA preferred.


  • CPA certification required.


  • 6-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on consolidations and financial reporting in a multi-entity environment.


  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically consolidation principles (ASC 810), Non-Controlling Interest (ASC 810-10), foreign currency (ASC 830), and financial statement preparation.


  • Experience with complex partnership structures, distribution waterfalls, and interest calculations.


  • High proficiency with consolidation systems (OneStream preferred; Hyperion/Oracle FCCS considered) and advanced Excel skills.


  • Excellent communication skills, able to present complex financial results to senior leadership.



Preferred Skills/Experience:



  • Experience in a large-accelerated filer environment with complex SOX compliance requirements.


  • Background in public accounting (Big 4) combined with corporate experience.
