Save JobEmail Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsA leading IPP within Renewables.Fast paced, strong project pipeline, and a very strong and growing team.About Our ClientLeading Independent Power Producer, with a huge pipeline of projects in Construction, and a strong portfolio of operating assets.Focused on Clean Energy projects across multiple technologies, including Wind, Solar, BESS, Hydro, Hydrogen, etcJob DescriptionThe Manager, SCADA Engineering - Renewable Energy - Remote will -Manage a team of SCADA Project Engineers responsible to technically oversee and manage the SCADA Implementation on multiple simultaneous scale utility-scale renewable projects split between various technologies and architectures (Solar, Wind, BESS, Hybrid, etc.)Maintain awareness of project status, manage project risks, and assist in resolving project challenges (both technical and contractual) to ensure on-time completion of the SCADA SOW (Scope of Work).Participate in development of SCADA execution standards including maintaining and updating the SCADA SOW for submittal with the RFP (Request For Proposal) to bidding EPCs.Development of Standards and Processes needed for consistent SCADA Execution across multiple teams of SCADA Project Engineers.Manage the SCADA Execution Project Engineering team to ensure adequate staffing for current project load and upcoming project projection. Work with the SCADA Development Engineer to ensure projects are properly assigned to appropriate SCADA Project Engineers.Works closely with various other teams (PPA, Interconnection, Development, Array Engineering, High Voltage Engineering, etc) to provide SCADA expertise/advice to move projects through the various lifecycle stages.Participate in Lessons Learned discussions and review Lessons Learned feedback to incorporate scope gaps into future SCADA SOW documents and future RFPs.Though typically not directly involved in individual projects, the process will entail the following actions with the SCADA vendor / integrator and with EPCs, equipment manufacturers, utilities, and internal teams.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe right candidate will have -5+ years of SCADA experience with Renewable Energy projects, plus at least 2 years of direct management/leadership experience.Requires a BSc Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience. Four years of additional directly related, progressive, technical work experience can be equated to a Bachelor's degree.Demonstrated experience performing SCADA design package reviews (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC, As-Built SCADA design).Capable and willing to develop and integrate new standards and processes into the SCADA Execution team.Familiarity with some of the following SCADA platforms: Ignition, GE Simplicity, SEL, Wonderware, SOLV, Isotrol Bluence, Trimark T1-S/Vantage, PVHardware, ETAPro, OSI PI. Other platforms outside of Renewables will be considered as well.Familiarity with grid interconnection SCADA telemetry and control requirements across various markets and ISOs including CAISO, NYISO, PJM, MISO and ERCOT.Experience in integration of relevant SCADA communication protocols, computer interfaces, and media types: MODBUS, DNP3.0, OPC, Fiber, Serial, TCP/IP, Radio.Experience in integration of various devices including Substation Devices (RTACs, Relays, Meters), Array Devices (Inverters, Trackers, Met Stations, BESS), and remote RTUs from Utilities and other 3rd Parties.Understanding of NERC compliance from the SCADA perspective.Project Management experience handling multiple consultants and EPCs.Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions among SCADA vendors, EPCs, equipment manufacturers, utilities, and internal teams.Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects and tasks.What's on OfferFor the right Manager, SCADA Engineering - Renewable Energy - Remote there will be:A base salary up to $165k+Annual bonus up to 25%14% 401k4 weeks PTOOpen to someone being 100% remote across the USA - From California to New York.
