My client is a privately owned, contract manufacturing company that makes customized products. This manufacturing site in New Hampshire is a start of the art facility that has roughly 200 employees.

Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Communicate outcomes of pilots and trials to customers, addressing any material or design concerns that may arise.
  • Facilitate and oversee machine trials and pilots for new components, products, and technologies.
  • Analyze the results of pilots and trials to establish process parameters and tolerances.
  • Support Product Engineer in assessing the manufacturability of new products.
  • Optimize equipment for setup, changeovers, operation, and uptime.
  • Define requirements and specifications for new equipment aimed at enhancing productivity.
  • Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOEs) to assess and optimize crucial process parameters.
  • Utilize Six Sigma principles to evaluate key process parameters, identifying areas for improvement and managing process variation.
  • Lead and execute capital projects to enhance or expand equipment within process lines or facilities.
  • Aid Operations in implementing projects aimed at improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience; candidates beyond this range will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Process Engineering.
  • Familiarity with methodologies such as DMAIC, PGMEA, Six Sigma, and/or DOE.
  • Experience managing and executing capital projects.
  • Track record of effective problem-solving both independently and within teams, along with adept management of multiple tasks across departments to meet shifting deadlines.
