About Our Client

Our client is a global strategic manufacturing partner that helps medical device OEMs bring complex medical devices and components to market. A manufacturer for endoscopic, arthroscopic, and single biopsy devices partnering with customers like Stryker, Medtronic, and Smith & Nephew. They seek a manufacturing engineer to analyze the value stream and identify opportunities to eliminate non-value added steps in the process.

Job Description

  • Represent entire engineering department on Specification Change Orders
  • Utilize project management skills for changes to manufacturing processes and new product launches
  • Observe and improve methods, tools, and fixtures to meet quality standards
  • Monitor existing processes and machinery to improve safety and operator performance
  • Recommend costing and cost estimates for product and design process changes
  • Implement lean concepts to optimize floor layout, and material flow
  • Document improvements to manufacturing efficiencies
  • Produce and edit technical documentation that specifies manufacturing process including setup and maintenance of equipment
  • Troubleshoot machinery
  • Conduct R&D validation and testing to determine compliance standards and effectiveness
  • Utilizes proven lean manufacturing based analytical and troubleshooting/problem solving abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, lead-time reduction, inventory reduction and quality improvement through defect reduction

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3-5 years experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Project management experience
  • Lean experience
  • Comfortable multi-tasking
  • Excellent communication
