Job Description

  • Manage the machining process, including selecting/designing workholding, CAM programming, and simulation
  • Collaborate with quality control (QC) teams to ensure proper inspection processes are in place
  • Provide technical support to shop floor personnel during part launches and throughout the production process
  • Implement LEAN methodologies to drive cost savings & efficiency improvements
  • Work in SolidWorks/CAD software for design of custom tooling/fixtures

The Successful Applicant

  • Proficiency with Mastercam for 5-axis milling
  • Experience designing complex workholding solutions for challenging parts
  • Strong knowledge of modern cutting tool and toolholding systems
  • Proficient in reading Blueprints and applying GD&T
  • Experience working with hard metals
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Vericut experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Solidworks or other equivalent CAD software is a plus
  • Mill/Turn experience is a plus
  • A proven track record demonstrating the required skills and experience is highly preferred
