As one of the largest North American manufacturers of machined plastic products and assemblies, they specialize in multi-axis plastic machining, metal-to-plastic conversions, and design for manufacturability.Job DescriptionIn this role you will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for: Providing suggestions to enhance machining operations, processes, and techniques to reduce costs or improve quality.Developing processes by applying technical engineering principles.Investigating and supporting the resolution of customer complaints and open CAPAs.Driving process improvement initiatives for both new and existing parts.Assisting in determining tooling requirements and managing tool life.Creating work instructions and quality alerts for manufacturing, and training employees accordingly.Supplying supplemental documentation to production departments as needed to meet customer requirements.Creating detailed drawings using CAD software for custom tooling needs.Gathering and reviewing specifications to meet new customer part requirements.Performing contract reviews and collaborating with EPP to ensure deliverables are met.Communicating effectively with customers during visits, meetings, calls, and emails.Understanding the ECN process, initiating requests, and ensuring ownership as needed.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
