Job Description

  • Develop, validate, and optimize CNC and Swiss‑type machining processes to improve production stability, precision, and throughput.
  • Interface with cross‑functional engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve machining variances and ensure on‑time product flow.
  • Analyze real‑time and historical production data (cycle times, tool wear patterns, SPC metrics) to identify process bottlenecks and cost‑reduction opportunities.
  • Design, configure, and maintain machining fixtures, tooling packages, and machine parameters to maximize operational performance and repeatability.
  • Ensure all machining programs, setups, and processes comply with healthcare and medical‑device manufacturing regulations and documented quality standards.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for CNC and Swiss operators to ensure consistent execution of validated processes.
  • Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives such as cycle‑time reduction, scrap minimization, and machine utilization optimization.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including setup sheets, process instructions, tool lists, and preventive‑maintenance procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:

  • BS in an Engineering discipline or relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment.
  • Strong background in CNC and Swiss Machining.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards.
