Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Develop cost-effective manufacturing techniques for a diverse range of machined, assembled, and die-cast products through practical, hands-on methods.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce costs and minimize scrap by refining manufacturing processes.
  • Establish and uphold process standards to meet customer and company standards.
  • Collaborate with customers to address their needs and support ongoing business relationships.
  • Facilitate seamless coordination between manufacturing departments, quality assurance, and customer service, emphasizing teamwork for collective success.
  • Oversee planning, engineering, and execution of manufacturing processes across departments.
  • Conduct dimensional analysis and implement improvements to enhance dimensional accuracy, with a solid grasp of casting tolerances and GD&T principles.
  • Utilize SolidWorks for parts evaluation, fixture design, and generating part blueprints.
  • Develop comprehensive work instructions to guide operators through manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers for die and tooling evaluation, repair, and reverse engineering.
  • Implement engineering change notices (ECNs) effectively.
  • Offer technical support across various departments and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate equipment and work cells to optimize productivity, ergonomics, and safety.
  • Contribute to strategic technical decisions and stay abreast of engineering advancements relevant to the organization's goals.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have most of what follows:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical, Manufacturing or any Engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong background in machining is a plus.
  • Die cast experience is a plus.
