Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining precise documentation for automated equipment or procedures.
  • Assisting in procuring and installing equipment while undertaking assigned tasks.
  • Collaborating closely with production and engineering to communicate recommendations and implement design changes as needed.
  • Designing fixtures and tools, assessing processes for efficiency improvements, and troubleshooting product and process issues.
  • Undertaking special assignments within or outside the Department as required.
  • Identifying and resolving problems while implementing enhancements.
  • Assessing manufacturing processes and workflows to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Developing and executing cost-saving measures and quality control protocols.
  • Ensuring that manufacturing processes and equipment meet capacity and capability standards.
  • Researching and innovating new processes, equipment, and products introduction (NPI).
  • Ensuring compliance of manufacturing processes and equipment with safety regulations.
  • Participating in cross-functional meetings to foster collaboration.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have most of what follows:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience supporting and designing automated systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a production or assembly setting.
  • Strong equipment troubleshooting skills, necessary for debugging and resolving issues with existing systems.
  • Proficient problem-solving and creative thinking skills to address challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Desired familiarity with Project Management, Risk Assessment, and Design of Experiments.
