The manufacturing engineer is an integral part of the overall manufacturing process and will play a pivotal role in assuring on-time, quality delivery of product to the clients varied customer base.

Job Description

  • Lead in optimization of set-up cycle times and improvement of productivity standards by teaming with operators and set-up personnel
  • Set-up and troubleshoot CNC machinery an provide ongoing support/maintenance of said machines
  • Train operators on SOP's and develop work instructions easily interpreted by those in charge of machinery related functions
  • Provide sustaining engineering duties to meet quality and delivery requirements
  • Review customer specifications and drawings for manufacturability and cost
  • Communicate with customers as needed to ensure their product requirements are met
  • Provide technical support to customers on issues of design and manufacturing
  • Recommend design modifications to improve quality, cost, and manufacturability
  • Write specifications for design, testing, and manufacturing of hand tools
  • Work on decreasing cycle times; develop ways of machining medical instruments and implants
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers
  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards

The Successful Applicant

  • A bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of four years' experience in manufacturing engineering is required; including tooling and fixturing design background
  • Knowledge of using ERP systems
  • Three or more years of conventional lathe, mill & CNC machining experience.
  • CAD and Microsoft Office skills are required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
