Job Description

  • Manage staff to consistently meet and exceed corporate goals by providing training, development and coaching to drive peak performance with direct reports
  • Ensure project/department goals are met while following approved budgets
  • Full authority over personnel decisions for direct reports
  • Analyze and design lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and simulation tools to optimize use of space, equipment, material and personnel
  • Achieve safety, efficiency, quality, and cost improvements through the management of a continuous improvement program using lean manufacturing principles
  • Coordinate long term goals with Upper Management

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

  • 8+ years in engineering and manufacturing environments
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Knowledge of CAD design for New Product Development and legacy products
  • Experience working with ERP systems; implementing changes and setting up new document control
  • Experience supervising and/or managing staff or engineers
  • Manage projects/programs from NPD to launch of production
  • 4 year technical degree
