Job Description

Some of the key responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer may include:

  • Modeling new and existing parts in SolidWorks.
  • Creating step-by-step visual assembly drawings aligned with this company's style and methodologies
  • Working hands-on with small shop machines such as mills, drill presses, and jeweler's lathes.
  • Designing and creating fixtures and prototypes as needed.
  • Reading and detailing mechanical drawings accurately.
  • Developing and introducing new products into production.
  • Creating and improving manufacturing processes, integrating production personnel in development efforts.
  • Writing and executing test protocols and analyze results through test reports.
  • Conduct practical analysis of test outcomes.
  • Processing and managing change orders in compliance with MDSAP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements (training provided).

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the following background:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Medical Device industry or another highly regulated environment
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering disciple
  • Strong background with Solidworks for assembling drawings and modeling
  • Familiarity with shop machines such as small mills, drill presses, lathes, etc.
  • Experience with new production introduction and creating processes on the manufacturing floor
  • Experience writing and executing test protocols
  • Experience working hands-on in a highly regulated environment
