About Our Client

Our client is a mid-sized, family owned machine shop operating in Wheeling. They predominantly serve customers in the medical device space, manufacturing parts based on customer specifications. They have shown strong growth over the past 15 years, and are looking to bring on 2 manufacturing engineers to oversee shop manufacturing processes.

Job Description

  • Support engineering with part updates, machine setup/layout and programs, as well as other functions.
  • Attend trade shows to gain knowledge on different and new technology within the manufacturing field
  • Generate new business quotations for customers, including cycle layouts and choosing proper tooling for the job
  • Communicate with customers throughout entire quoting and manufacturing process
  • Suggest modifications to customer specifications to streamline engineering and manufacturing problems
  • Generate blueprints, tool layouts and programs on newly awarded business

The Successful Applicant

  • Technical degree required
  • 3-4 years manufacturing experience
  • Know Solidworks, help with Set ups, especially if they have experience on our machinery
  • Machining background
  • Layout and blue print experience
  • Problem solving ability, work autonomously
  • Hands-on attitude, excited to be on the manufacturing floor
  • Experience with Star CNC, Swiss CNC Machines, Vertical Machining Centers, HAAS machines is a plus.

What's on Offer

  • $75,000-$85,000 base salary depending on level of experience
