Job Description

The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain precise documentation for automation equipment and processes.
  • Aid in equipment procurement and installation, along with fulfilling other assigned tasks.
  • Foster close collaboration between production and engineering teams to communicate recommendations and facilitate design adjustments.
  • Design fixtures and tooling, assess processes to enhance efficiency, and troubleshoot product and process issues.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and execute cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment meet capacity and capability requirements.
  • Research and develop new processes, equipment, and products for introduction.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience supporting and designing automated systems
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a production and/or assembly environment
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially programming and software development, essential for various aspects of the Automation Engineer role
  • Strong equipment troubleshooting skills required to debug and troubleshoot existing systems
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies
