The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial part in the manufacturing process for our client's composite manufacturing facility near Glenview. The Manufacturing Engineer will work both independently and in tandem with multiple teams on-site in a very dynamic environment as the company continues to grow.

Our client is one of the largest suppliers of composite materials in North America, serving key industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, medical, and semiconductor. They are constantly reinvesting in new technologies to stay on top of their competition and ensure that they maintain the strong business they've built. Their engineering team is rapidly growing and is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to hit the ground running and become a pivotal member of the team.

Job Description

  • Utilize extensive CNC programming background to develop efficient programs for custom and complex parts
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through designing CAM templates, writing work instructions, and optimizing CAM programs
  • Showcase and action strong understanding of programming, tool selection, and machining processes
  • Troubleshoot production issues throughout the process, & interface with Quality, Maintenance, & Production teams to optimize manufacturability
  • Implement GD&T in the manufacturing process
  • Communicate effectively with operators, engineers, and team leaders

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, but can be offset with relevant manufacturing experience
  • Strong background in Mastercam programming
  • Open to learn and collaborate with multiple teams on-site
  • Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines
  • Experience with SolidWorks and Vericut softwares is a plus
  • Background experience in composite materials is a plus
