Job Description

Lead and manage multiple complex projects, applying strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Design and develop manufacturing processes, including fixture creation using SolidWorks and precise tooling selection for high-tolerance component production.
Establish and implement effective quality systems and gauging methods to ensure consistent production standards.
Develop machining and assembly procedures involving CNC machining centers, lathes, grinding, and broaching operations.
Program CNC equipment utilizing G & M-Code, CAM software (Mastercam), and macro programming techniques.
Apply GD&T principles to support proper work holding, machining accuracy, and gauge control aligned with design requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to source, develop, and validate manufacturing tools and equipment.
Promote standardization across the facility through core competency teams, benchmarking, process documentation, and equipment checklists.
Mentor junior engineers and production staff, offering technical guidance and support within the manufacturing environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by supporting the company's LEAN manufacturing initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology is preferred.
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, with experience preferred.
Solid understanding of CNC metal cutting machinery and related processes.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with the design and application of fixtures and gauges.
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
Experience with capability studies, gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Lean Manufacturing practices.
Excellent communication skills, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
