Based out of a 135,000 sq ft facility, and looking to expand their facility, adding new production lines and improve current operations. They hold over 60% of market share for their industry sector.This Manufacturing Engineer will be mentored by the VP of Operations and be on track for promotion.Job DescriptionPerform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality, safety, and efficiency improvements.Support product development by designing, prototyping, and testing new/revised products and modifying manufacturing equipment accordingly.Create, evaluate and/or approve drawings, routings, specs, SOPs, training materials and other documents related to the production of existing and new products.Support and engage factory in Lean, focusing on process improvement and 5S.Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including blueprints, quality standards, tool design, process specifications, and communication of goals to the factory.Design, develop and test and/or source and cost-justify tools, machinery and equipment.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
