My client is an innovative manufacturer of specialty heat treated and cooled metals for applications in many industries, especially oil/gas and aerospace & defense. The company is steadily growing and offers room for growth for its employees.

Job Description

This position will report directly into the Director of Engineering and be responsible for:

  • Compute production costs by utilizing established labor rates, material, and processing price estimates.
  • Lead the cost estimating activity, collaboratr with customers in the Aerospace, Defense, and Oil & Gas markets.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain team on the supply of raw materials and outside services, both within the integrated supply chain and with external vendors.
  • Manage production jobs, including financial closure, variance analysis, and communication with manufacturing to report and enhance processes.
  • Generate G code for CNC lathes and milling machines using in-house CAM software.
  • Drive improvements in new and existing operations to reduce costs and enhance quality.
  • Hold authority to perform all tasks and activities within the scope of responsibilities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering
  • 5+ years of prevision machining with medium to highly complex components, includes CNC setup and operation
  • CNC Lathe experience preferred
  • G code programming using CAM software
  • Cost estimating experience
