Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation for automation equipment and processes.
  • Assist in the procurement and installation of equipment and perform any other assigned duties.
  • Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams, facilitating recommendations and design changes as needed.
  • Design fixtures and tooling, evaluate processes for increased throughput, and troubleshoot product and process issues.
  • Perform special assignments inside or outside the department when requested.
  • Identify and resolve problems, implementing improvements.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and workflows to find opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment meet capability and capacity requirements.
  • Research and develop new processes, equipment, and products (NPI).
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment comply with safety standards.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to promote collaboration.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have what follows:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in designing and supporting automated systems.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience in a production or assembly environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in programming and software development, as the role heavily involves computer use.
  • Strong equipment troubleshooting skills for debugging and resolving issues in existing systems.
  • Effective communication skills for explaining complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels and within multidisciplinary teams, as well as strong written communication skills for record-keeping and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking for troubleshooting issues and finding effective solutions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to stay updated with the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Desired knowledge in Project Management, Risk Assessment, and Design of Experiments.
