Their booming facility near Crestwood, IL is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the team!Job DescriptionLead in optimization of set-up cycle times and improvement of productivity standards by teaming with machine operators and set up personnelSet-up and troubleshoot CNC machines and provide support/maintenance of said machinesTrain operators on SOP's and develop work instructions easily interpreted by those in charge of machinery related functionsReview customer specifications and drawings for manufacturability and costAct as liaison to customers to ensure needs are being metProvide technical support to customers on issues of design and manufacturingRecommend design modifications to improve quality, cost, and manufacturabilityWrite specifications for design, testing, and manufacturing of hand toolsDevelop and implement LEAN/Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce waste and lower cycle timesMaintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeoversImprove process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standardsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
