Job Description

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will:

  • Provide technical support to the Manufacturing Team, including troubleshooting production issues and leading training sessions.
  • Collaborate with both manufacturing and engineering departments to identify and implement product and process improvements.
  • Work with the engineering team to design and execute Verification and Validation activities for production lines.
  • Assist in the seamless transition of products from the engineering phase to full-scale production.
  • Support manufacturing and engineering teams in prototype builds for new products or product iterations.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Process Engineer will:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting compliant with ISO:13485 standards, focusing on the fabrication of intricate mechanical, opto-mechanical, or electro-mechanical devices.
  • Demonstrated involvement in the transition of products from engineering prototypes to full-scale production, showcasing:
    • Proficiency in devising efficient assembly processes.
    • Ability to design and construct assembly and test fixtures, including the creation of associated documentation like work instructions and schematics.
    • Experience in conducting process and product verification and validation.
  • Proficient in understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles applied to both mechanical and optical drawings.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Skilled in using SolidWorks or equivalent Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management systems.
