About Our Client

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a leader in the metal fabrication and machining, they have steadily grown over the last 15 years. This role will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Production and Sales and help develop manufacturing processes and products to allow more efficiency. They serve the automotive, industrial and aerospace markets.

Job Description

Lead a cross-functional projects to execute New Product Introductions and troubleshoot existing manufacturing programs:

  • Manage the stages of launching new products into the manufacturing process
  • Guide the team through defining project scope and objectives.
  • Lead project schedule planning activities to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage challenges to the project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Understand and communicate project risks and solutions to Commercial and Executive leadership.
  • Coordinate with third parties and vendors as needed.
  • Measure project performance and relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • WILL TRAVEL 15% of the year to regional customers/suppliers

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will possess the following skills/attributes in engineering

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in leading engineering projects & interfacing with a variety of departments
  • Experience launching engineering programs and scheduling/managing timelines
  • Knowledge of either: precision machining OR assembly manufacturing operations
  • Experience with an ERP system (ex. Job Boss, EPICOR, Global Shop, SAP)

Nice to Haves:

  • PMP certification
  • Project management position
