It serves industries like automotive, packaging, and food processing by providing components that help move and control mechanical systems efficiently.Job DescriptionThe Manufacturing Engineer Site Lead's responsibilities will include the following tasks:Lead and manage projects and Manufacturing Engineers to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.Oversee budgets, tooling design, and implementation to support production efficiency.Promote a team-oriented culture focused on respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with safety standards; collaborate with Safety Manager to enhance programs.Maintain quality standards; coordinate with Quality and Engineering teams for continuous improvement.Guarantee on-time delivery to internal and external customers.Evaluate manufacturing processes for cost-effectiveness and efficiency improvements.Mentor team members and lead production-focused engineering efforts.Implement lean manufacturing tools (Kanban, Kaizen, SMED, 5S) to drive improvements.Demonstrate strong personal accountability and uphold company policies and ethical standards.Lead individual and team projects independently with minimal supervision.Design tools and dies using Solid Edge CAD with focus on DFM principles.Evaluate and improve tool performance, estimate tool life, and retrain operators as needed.Design low-cost automation systems, including controls, pneumatics, and PLC programming.Conduct process analysis, FMEA, and simulations; manage experiments and project timelines.Write equipment specs, qualification plans, and validation protocols using statistical methods.Install and commission tools, dies, and equipment.Review technical bulletins/specs and recommend relevant applications.Participate in ISO/OSHA audits to ensure regulatory compliance.Optimize workforce utilization, space planning, and workflow through layout design.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
