Job Description

The responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Learn and contribute to daily operations, including profile recipe development, lay-up constructions, and press operation and maintenance.
  • Take charge of New Product Introduction (NPI) Process development.
  • Oversee equipment setup, buy-off, and qualification of a horizontal vacuum fill machine, ensuring resolution of any startup issues.
  • Develop and implement all necessary tooling.
  • Manage equipment setup, buy-off, qualifications, addressing any equipment-related startup challenges.
  • Coordinate daily operations involving recipe development, process setup and qualification, and creation of procedures and quality checks.
  • Drive process optimization efforts for new designs.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mechanical Engineer will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Shows proficiency in grasping machine setup and operation procedures.
  • Demonstrates hands-on learning of both hardware and software setup for new equipment and materials.
  • Capable of troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and effectively communicating to facilitate resolution.
  • Willingness to actively engage in daily operation of process equipment.
  • Exhibits expertise in applying methodologies such as SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen.
  • Possesses strong skills in problem-solving, statistics, manufacturing quality, and quality principles.
