About Our Client

The client is a global leader in the design, development and distribution of extrusion and converting technology.

Job Description


  • Design systems and components that meet the needs and requirements defined by the contract specification.
  • Create 3D models and drawings, assemble BOMs, assist with risk assessments, operating manuals, and any other documentation necessary for machine fabrication, assembly and operation
  • Perform engineering calculations to support the design of new and existing products.
  • Evaluate final product's overall performance, reliability and safety
  • Collaborate with other departments on any issues that arise during the engineering, purchasing, assembly, test, or commissioning phases of the machine builds
  • Produce outline designs, alter and modify designs to meet requirements and eliminate potential issues
  • Through root cause analysis produce effective solutions to emerging problems, assisting the service department and customers with troubleshooting
  • Prepare product reports and documentation
  • Conduct experiments methodically, testing and evaluating designs, analyze data and interpret results
  • Solicit observations from operators and machinists
  • Interfaces with all levels of management to resolve problems and issues that have reached critical level regarding design, quality, etc. Provides technical support to marketing, sales and outside customers.
  • Support enigneering department with daily requests.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience with machinery design
  • Demonstrated proficiency with 3D modeling software - SolidWorks preferred
  • Working knowledge of mechanical assemblies, materials, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, and electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience creating engineering drawings for complex parts and assemblies with excellent geometric dimensioning and tolerancing practices.
  • Good problem solving skills, especially root cause analysis with a focus on providing feasible, robust, and timely solutions
  • Ability to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally
