Our client is one of New England's leading builders in the lab & life science spaces. With offices in both Massachusetts and Connecticut, they're able to service pharmaceutical clients throughout New England. They have a solid pipeline with years' worth of work ahead, and are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their team.

Job Description

The Mechanical Estimator - Lab & Life Science Projects will be responsible for:

  • preparing conceptual and quantitative estimates using estimating software
  • reviewing bid documents to develop scopes of work
  • coordinating MEP take-offs
  • implementing and maintaining project estimate document control
  • facilitating a hand-over meeting between estimating and project management team

The Successful Applicant

The Mechanical Estimator - Lab & Life Science Projects will have:

  • at least 3 years of relevant experience as an estimator in construction
  • experience creating mechanical estimates
  • familiarity with conceptual, self-perform and other estimating
  • a degree in a construction-related field (preferred)
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • experience using construction software such as Timberline, On-Screen, and others
  • strong computer skills
