Job Description

The Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
  • Prepare, review, and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and CAD models for manufacturing applications.
  • Ensure drawings comply with industry standards (GD&T, ASME) and customer specifications.
  • Work closely with design engineers to translate product designs into manufacturable components.
  • Specify and procure manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.
  • Support installation, testing, and validation of new equipment.
  • Conduct time studies and recommend ergonomic improvements.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve process efficiency.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
  • Strong proficiency in mechanical drawings, GD&T, and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
