Job Description

The Mechanical Process Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic products, focusing on mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Design and implement manufacturing workflows, including assembly processes, tooling/fixtures, and testing procedures, to maximize efficiency and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and cost analyses to evaluate manufacturing alternatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and quality standards, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions to resolve mechanical-related problems and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, kaizen events, and lean manufacturing projects to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques, with a focus on electronic products
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, FEA analysis, and other engineering software applications
