Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Refines and summarizes product specifications to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.
  • Conceptualizes and brainstorms innovative therapeutic solutions for medical devices.
  • Performs detailed CAD design and concept refinement, focusing on precision and functionality.
  • Prototypes and evaluates catheter-based designs, ensuring feasibility and performance.
  • Conducts engineering calculations, including tolerance analysis, to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Drafts complex technical drawings, demonstrating a solid understanding of component manufacturing methods.
  • Designs and develops in-vitro test methods, including the creation of fixtures and fabrication processes.
  • Develops and executes in-vivo and in-vitro study protocols, ensuring comprehensive reporting and data analysis.
  • Creates and maintains manufacturing process documentation, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
  • Leads customer meetings, presenting project updates and engaging professionally with clients to meet their needs.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Over 2 years of experience in medical device design and development.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 13485, with the ability to participate in audits and mentor junior engineers.
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Extensive understanding of materials science, focusing on properties of materials used in medical devices.
  • Specialized expertise in one or more technical domains.
  • Hands-on experience across various development stages, including those governed by Design Controls regulations.
