Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsWork on large-scale light industrial & manufacturing projectsVery competitive bonus program!About Our ClientWith 8 offices and over 300 employees across the US, this top ENR contractor has grown strategically since 2000 to over 2 billion in annual revenue while also retaining talent and providing great benefits for their employees.Named Top Workplace in USA 2023BEST compensation & benefits package in the local industryJob DescriptionProject Planning and Coordination:Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all MEP activities on construction projects.Work with design and engineering teams to review MEP plans, specifications, and submittals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and codes.Ensure that MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall construction project and align with project goals.Subcontractor and Vendor Management:Oversee and manage relationships with MEP subcontractors, ensuring they meet project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.Review and approve MEP subcontractor bids, scopes of work, and contracts.Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve any issues related to quality, scheduling, or performance.Budgeting and Cost Control:Develop and manage the MEP budget for each project, ensuring that costs are accurately tracked and reported.Identify potential cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and alternative solutions.Approve MEP-related change orders, track cost impacts, and ensure alignment with the overall project budget.Quality Control and Inspections:Ensure that all MEP systems are installed according to project plans, specifications, and relevant building codes.Perform regular site inspections to monitor the quality of work, identifying and resolving any deficiencies.Coordinate third-party inspections and testing of MEP systems as required by local regulations.Schedule Management:Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP scopes of work, ensuring that all milestones are met.Coordinate MEP work with other trades to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth progress throughout the construction process.Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates on MEP progress and any potential delays or issues.Risk Management and Problem Solving:Identify potential risks or issues related to MEP systems early in the project lifecycle and develop strategies to mitigate them.Resolve technical and logistical issues that may arise during the installation or commissioning of MEP systems.Work closely with engineers, architects, and other consultants to find solutions to complex MEP challenges.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of all MEP-related activities, including contracts, RFIs, change orders, and submittals.Prepare and present regular reports on MEP progress, budget status, and any variances to the project team and client.Ensure all necessary closeout documentation is completed and submitted for the MEP portion of the project, including as-builts, warranties, and operation manuals.Safety and Compliance:Ensure that all MEP work complies with relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations.Collaborate with the safety team to ensure that all MEP activities are performed safely and that appropriate PPE and safety protocols are followed.Address any compliance issues related to mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems, ensuring full adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
