We're seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to oversee all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection scopes on major commercial interior and ground-up construction projects across NYC. Job Description



  • Oversee and coordinate all MEP trades on site to ensure alignment with construction schedule and design intent


  • Serve as the primary liaison between MEP subcontractors, project management, design teams, and ownership


  • Enforce safety, quality, and performance standards for all MEP work


  • Monitor MEP installation progress and troubleshoot field issues to minimize delays


  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with NYC codes, DOB/FDNY requirements, and project specs


  • Lead MEP coordination meetings and collaborate with VDC/BIM teams on clash detection and resolution


  • Maintain updated field reports, daily logs, and documentation related to MEP work


  • Assist with startup, commissioning, and turnover of MEP systems


  • Review submittals, shop drawings, and assist in change order evaluation as needed

The Successful Applicant

7+ years of MEP supervision experience on large-scale commercial projects. Strong coordination, communication, and systems knowledge required.



  • 7-15+ years of field supervision experience focusing on MEP scopes for large-scale commercial projects in NYC


  • Deep technical understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, and controls systems


  • Familiarity with BIM/VDC processes and MEP coordination in tight, complex environments


  • Experience working with union trades and managing NYC subcontractors


  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities


  • OSHA 30 certification and thorough understanding of DOB/FDNY regulations


  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specs, and control diagrams


  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and other field management tools
