Our client, a leading luxury cosmetics brand based in Los Angeles, is seeking a Finance Director to join their team. Known for their innovative and high-quality beauty products, our client is committed to excellence and growth in the competitive beauty industry.

Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the financial operations, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Manage the external audit process, including preparation and review of deliverables and communication with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Enhance fund efficiency through effective treasury management.
  • Collaborate with senior management to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, identifying development and training needs.
  • Participate in M&A projects and integrate acquired businesses.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CPA or similar professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in the beauty or luxury goods industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
