Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage Accounting team for asset manager and home builder operations.
  • Direct competitive financial analysis and statistical studies.
  • Develop budgeted balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze historical and future performance trends for financial planning.
  • Head homebuilding function with financial oversight and leadership.
  • Analyze key performance indicators and monitor trends.
  • Oversee Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, and Operating Plan tools.
  • Evaluate processes to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of market trends to senior management.
  • Partner with functional leadership in strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare presentations and forecasts for Board, banks, investors, and agencies.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow management templates.
  • Manage accounting and finance team.
  • Coach and mentor employees for clear goals.
  • Set policies and ensure compliance and risk reduction.
  • Foster relationships with asset management and homebuilders.
  • Promote job safety and resolve conflicts effectively.



Reporting:

  • Oversee Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports preparation.
  • Manage annual audits for businesses.
  • Design and prepare financial performance analyses.
  • Develop financial models for strategic initiatives.



Other Duties:

  • Develop and oversee annual budgets and banking relationships.
  • Issue financial statements and communicate significant variances.
  • Evaluate staff performance and implement personnel actions.
  • Enhance internal controls and departmental objectives.
  • Prepare journal entries, financial projections, and budgets as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, MBA preferred
  • 8 to 10 years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience
  • 10 to 15 years in the asset management and/or homebuilding industry required
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP compliance
  • Strong MS Office with emphasis in Excel
  • Experience with Hyphen BRIX/BuildPro preferred
  • Prioritizes and implements process improvement opportunities
  • Effective working relationships with others both within and outside of their team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented in all assignments
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail are required
  • Strong multi-tasking skills; must manage responsibilities under strict deadlines
