Job Description

  • Contribute and help drive a secure business-oriented culture and mindset - driven by continual service improvement and operational excellence techniques
  • Assist with the local and remote technology Infrastructure Team and work on assigned tasks, project deliverables and operational issues
  • Maintain knowledge of new technologies and platforms and provide direction on what emerging technologies should be researched and introduced, assimilated, integrated within I&O
  • Focus on Managed Services and Cloud IT strategy and transformation activities
  • Champion I&O involvement in the IT organization's innovation efforts and its role in assessing and experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of for business improvements
  • Work with the broader team for the secure design, development, functional planning, operation, and support of Microsoft systems that fulfill the needs of the business, including the full life cycle of technical architecture, infrastructure engineering, infrastructure operations and IT service support
  • Ensure systems adherence and compliance with security standards and practices
  • Ensure comprehensive disaster recovery architecture (on-prem and cloud) is maintained and operations are in place to ensure compliance with required RPOs and RTOs during business continuity events
  • Ensure support and operational documentation is continuously reviewed and up to date, as it relates to focus areas of this role
  • Provide oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management, as it relates to focus areas of this role

The Successful Applicant

  • Must display SME and high level comfort with managing and maintaining Active Directory and associated AD Services (DNS, DHCP, AD Time sync, GPOs, Azure AD Sync, etc.)

  • 10 or more years of experience implementing and managing Microsoft solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, execution, and support of enterprise-wide Active Directory and M365 applications.
  • Strong communication skills - must be capable of communicating and presenting technology and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to technology and business stakeholders (including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to technical and non-technical business users)
  • Experience with many of the following Microsoft Technologies:
    • Managing and maintaining Active Directory and associated AD Services (DNS,DHCP, Time, Azure AD Sync, etc.)
      • Active Directory optimization, upgrades, security, protection, backups, clean-up, etc.
      • AD Authentication knowledge
      • PKI and certificate infrastructure knowledge
      • Experience with On-Prem AD, Hybrid Azure AD Join and Azure-AD Join devices
    • Designing and implementing MS technologies on traditional servers and in Azure/O365
    • Implementing and supporting Microsoft cloud technologies and services such as MS Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint online, OneDrive, Intune, MAM/MDM, Autopilot, Windows Virtual Desktop, etc.
    • Implementing Conditional Access policies, M365 Tenant policies, M365 mobile device management and Intune policies
  • Implementing O365 best practices
    • Performing administrative maintenance on the O365 tenant services to ensure optimal service response times and proper license and rights allocations
    • Analyzing, designing, and implementing new technologies and applications within the O365 environment
  • Performing Azure and O365 product and integration testing
  • Consolidating on-prem infrastructure (Servers) and help in migrations to the Azure cloud
    • Providing design and Implementation guidance of Services in Microsoft Azure and any third-party cloud services for IaaS, DRaaS, PaaS and SaaS
    • Identifying and improving systems with automation and process enhancements (e.g., via DevOps, PowerShell, Windows batch scripts, etc.)
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Server 2012-r2 and 2016 (experience with 2019 is a plus)
  • Installing and configuring MS applications, such as Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
  • DevOps and automation experience (Azure or AWS) would be a plus
