About Our Client

This construction firm has been in operations for nearly 50 years. Originally starting as a small family organization, they quickly grew to a leading organization building for the local housing authorities throughout the Midwest and Southeast.They specialize in wood-frame and metal stud frame mid-rise construction multifamily/mixed use construction projects, with most of their buildings being within the multifamily, senior housing/assisted living and mixed use space. With the recent growth that has been seen throughout the states in the residential markets, they are looking to hire multiple positions across all their teams to help with their current growth.

Job Description

  • Work alongside of Project Management team to develop scope of work, construction schedules and budgets
  • Solicit bids from subcontractors
  • Manage project costs
  • Review necessary construction drawings, drafts and documents
  • Prepare purchase orders for approval
  • Work alongside Superintendent to make sure project is being completed according to budgets and schedules
  • Conduct meetings with owners, architects, vendors and other stakeholders
  • Hold weekly meetings on progress of project
  • Visit job sites occasionally
  • Other responsibilities included

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar field (preferred not required)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience within the construction space
  • Knowledge of wood frame construction projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized individual who can work independently with little oversight
  • Proficient in MS Office, Prolog, Bluebeam or construction softwares preferred
