Our client is a longstanding and well known non-profit, working to eliminate inequality within certain areas of our judicial system. This role is located in Manhattan, NY.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Include-

  • Provide expert knowledge on laws and regulations on a federal, state, and local level. Knowledge includes licensing, campaigning, charity requests, and other non-profit related compliance matters.
  • Create and roll out trainings/workshops related to compliance and risk assessment.
  • Continually keep record and update reports by jurisdiction.
  • Develop a process to ensure the timely submittal of necessary filings and registrations. Create a schedule and templates based on that process.
  • Conduct a quality control check on those registrations and filings before they are submitted.
  • Continue to stay abreast of any changes within compliance requirements, and utilize the necessary services to do so.
  • Determine any risks, and create a dashboard to continually manage them.
  • Review policies and procedures across compliance & risk, and update as necessary.

The Successful Applicant

Key Qualifications Include-

  • At least three years of previous work experience relating to risk, compliance, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree with excellent academic credentials. Advanced Degree a plus
  • Experience with lobbying or lobbying compliance a plus
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally and collaborate across multiple lines of business
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior level associates, both verbal and written
  • Candidate is willing to commute to the Manhattan office on a hybrid schedule
