Job Description

  • Executes the operational risk governance framework and RCSA program under the direction of the Group Head.
  • Produces Operational Risk Event reports as needed, coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Provides weekly updates on outstanding operational risk events and tracks remediation items.
  • Assists in managing the firm's Risk Management Program as required by CFTC Rule 23.600.
  • Periodically analyzes the firm's Risk Tolerance Limits and Risk Appetite Framework, proposing updates as needed and obtaining approvals from the Global Risk Management Committee (GRMC).
  • Collaborates with Group Head to plan for upcoming regulatory requirements such as FRTB, CFTC Capital Rule, etc.
  • Supports Group Head in coordinating the New Product Committee (NPC) process for the Head of Risk Management, reporting updates and outstanding issues related to the NPC.
  • Records official meeting minutes for GRMC and NPC.
  • Monitors the firm's compliance with the Volcker Rule and provides monthly analysis.
  • Generates daily risk analytic reports as directed by the Market Risk and Analytics Group Head.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-6 years of relevant Finance experience, with a focus on derivatives and a deep understanding of key risks, especially interest rates and FX products.
  • Familiarity with risk concepts and valuation methods such as VaR, stress-testing, counterparty exposure estimation, liquidity estimation, model assessment and validation, and documentation and reporting approaches.
  • Profound knowledge of U.S., non-U.S., and international banking laws, with a specific focus on Risk Management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in the Dodd Frank Act, CFTC Rule 23.600, the Volcker Rule, and Swap Dealer registration requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal departments, affiliates, Head Office, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong reasoning ability, capable of understanding complex situations and system needs within a risk management environment.
  • Robust analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management, including the ability to work independently and implement new risk controls and processes, including technology infrastructure.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in collaborating with internal risk management colleagues, Front Office, and Middle & Back Office personnel across all subsidiaries and globally.
