Job Description

  • Review and ensure implementation of operational risk management policies, ensuring adherence within the business.
  • Familiarity with issue management processes, including reviewing operational risk incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and assessing remediation actions.
  • Develop and monitor key risk indicators and risk metrics across various lines of business.
  • Collaborate with business lines to develop scenario analyses for risk management insights.
  • Conduct risk and control self-assessments to evaluate operational risk.
  • Prepare and analyze risk reports to provide insights into operational risk trends and analytics.
  • Participate in and oversee the alignment of GRC system developments with program requirements.
  • Lead or support engagements with internal or external auditors and regulators on the ORM program, addressing inquiries and documentation requests promptly.
  • Stay informed about industry developments in the operational risk space to ensure program relevance and effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in operational risk management, internal audit, management consulting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in control testing techniques and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workloads effectively and prioritize deliverables to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field. A postgraduate degree is a plus.
