Our client is a premier high-end residential general contractor located in Manhattan specializing in gut renovations for high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). With a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, they deliver bespoke luxury residences throughout Manhattan.

Job Description

As an Operations Manager / Director of Construction, you will be responsible for the following:



  • Oversee all construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


  • Lead and mentor project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve operational excellence.


  • Develop and implement processes to enhance efficiency and workflow across multiple projects.


  • Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for HNWI clients, architects, and designers.


  • Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, DOB regulations, and safety standards.


  • Monitor project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and contract negotiations.


  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure seamless project execution.


  • Work closely with procurement teams to source high-end materials and finishes.

The Successful Applicant



  • 10+ years of experience in high-end residential construction, with a focus on gut renovations in the 5 boroughs


  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously.


  • In-depth knowledge of NYC construction regulations, DOB codes, and permitting processes.


  • Proven track record of delivering luxury projects on time and within budget.


  • Exceptional client-facing skills with experience working with HNWIs, architects, and designers.


  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.


  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) is a plus.
