They are a very reputable organization and are placing a lot of emphasis on the growth and development of their site in the southwest Chicago suburbs!Job DescriptionOperational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, including production, quality control, maintenance, and shipping. Ensure production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to boost productivity, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency. Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and production staff. Create a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and professional development.Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures. Address and resolve quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and provide training to maintain a safe working environment.Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and material flow. Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of materials and components.Budget Management: Develop and manage the operations budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures to stay within budget.Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including production metrics, quality issues, and cost analysis. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing setting. Experience in similar industries is advantageous.Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
