We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk with hands-on expertise in Ceridian Dayforce to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and supporting all payroll-related functions. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, while providing excellent service to our employees.

Job Description



  • Review payroll using Ceridian Dayforce for [weekly/biweekly/monthly] payroll cycles.


  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, changes in pay, and benefits.


  • Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and relevant employment laws.


  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.


  • Generate and distribute payroll reports as needed by management and finance.


  • Address payroll-related queries from employees in a professional and timely manner.


  • Assist with year-end processing including preparation of tax documents (e.g., P60s, P45s, or equivalent depending on region).


  • Liaise with HR and Finance to ensure alignment on employee data and benefits information.


  • Stay current with legislative and system updates affecting payroll processing.
  • Executes clerical functions regarding payroll such as organization of payroll documents
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

The Successful Applicant

  • Ability to work efficiently and with precision.
  • 1+ years of HR, payroll or benefits experience.
  • (Ceridian) Dayforce experience essential.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Solid organizational, multitasking and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll process, regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using payroll software and MS Excel for data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
